The
Extended Day Program (EDP) was established to meet
the needs of the busy families of St. James School
who desire both Catholic education and supplementary
after-school care in a safe, structured environment.
The EDP program is available to all registered
families of St. James and operates from 2:15 pm
to 5:30 pm each full school day and from 12:00
noon to 5:30 pm each scheduled early dismissal
day. When school is not in session, EDP is not
in session, In addition, EDP is not in session
on the final school day prior to the vacations
for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter or on the
last day of school. In the event of an emergency
closing, families will not receive credit for the
day.
The
EDP program is available to children in Kindergarten
through 6th grades. Planned activities,
including arts and crafts, games, recreation
and snack time are coordinated on a daily basis.
In addition, time is available for homework assignments
and additional resource materials are available.
The
EDP program is fully staffed by employees of St.
James school. An annual registration form must
be completed, preferably at the time of registration
for the upcoming school year. Registration includes
a non-refundable family registration fee or $30.00
and a notarized medical form for each student.
Space is limited and mid-year registrations may
not be available. EDP is offered on a full or part-time
basis.
