Each
September brings with it the excitement and anticipation
of what is to come. As principal I am humbled by the
faith and trust that has been placed in me and embrace
my responsibilities gravely in continuing the mission
of this school. As principal, I am honored to be a part
of the rich history St. James School enjoys. This year
the doors swing open to greet our students for the 125th
time. We celebrate the giants who have gone before us,
who labored and sacrificed to see a dream fulfilled.
We applaud the generations of parents who supported
St. James School and Catholic Education through the
decades of the twentieth century. We look forward with
our school community now as we continue to enrich Red
Bank by our presence.
There are many wonderful characteristics that make
St. James School unique. One of them is diversity…diversity
in curriculum, extracurricular programs, faculty,
student body members, even the geographical setting
of the campus. A wide variety of Academic subjects
enhanced by innovative programs and available for
varying ability levels give students the opportunity
to explore and investigate at their own pace. The
extracurricular programs offered for all students
boast something for everyone. Sound educational background,
extensive experience, and continual professional development
produce a masterful faculty whose focus is the growth
and development of the whole child. Our students hail
from 15 public school sending districts that bring
a crisscross flavor of Monmouth County to our corridors.
Sharing the campus with Red Bank Catholic High School
and the retired Sisters of Mercy who inhabit the convent,
St. James School is a living organism responding to
all ages in life’s journey.
We greet this 125th year, the third century in which
we have existed, by celebrating with this new Website
as a more complete communication vehicle and better
way to serve you. We are grateful to the team of parents
who embraced this endeavor and responded to the call
to share their time, talents, and treasure.
As those in the past who have left their mark, we
continue to dream, to hope, and to believe in a better
world for our children today for they are the leaders
of the world and Church of tomorrow.
